You will initially see Marcel, who is the main presenter, during the teaching stages of vocabulary.
Once you have completed those sections you will reach the 2 part conversational dialogue sections where you’ll be introduced to different deaf presenters. These presenters will show you how to put the vocabulary together into conversations.
There are chances to watch these videos with voice and subtitles and then without – which encourages the development of your BSL receptive skills.
Your BSL Deaf Presenters throughout are Ramon Woolfe, Radha Starr, Marcel Hirshman, Fifi Garfield and Deepa Shastri.

You will get the chance to watch without voice to encourage receptive skills and answer some basic questions, then you can recap seeing the video in full to check your understanding.
My name is Sonia Hollis and I’m a qualified Sign Language interpreter. Learn Sign Language Ltd was set up due to the huge demand for people wanting to learn sign language online.
Throughout the course there will be multiple choice questions to answer which tests your sign language receptive skills.
The course content is designed to be taken at your own pace, where you have 12 months access in order to complete it. However, as a guide, the content is designed similarly to a class based environment where you are taught 2 hours per week. This allows for pausing of videos and practising in between.
